St. Nicholas Early Learning, Inc. has created an environment that allows children the opportunity to explore their curiosity and foster their own growth potential, all wrapped within the experience of love, warmth, respect, and fun. All of this was made possible by the vision, effort, and generosity of not only the Board and Staff, but also vital partnerships, donors, and families.

St. Nicholas Early Learning, Inc. creates an environment that fosters play and exploration not only in its classrooms with the careful selection of educational yet fun materials, but also in the nature-inspired playground.
Overview
History
St Nicholas Early L earning (SNEL) was initiated by a small group of dedicated parishioners from Trinity Episcopal Church to address the critical need for high-quality childcare in the broader church community. In spring of 2015, the Trinity Episcopal Church vestry awarded the then Trinity Childcare Committee a matching grant of $30,000 as seed money for the project. In January 2016, St Nicholas Early Learning became its own 501c3 and elected its first board of directors now consisting of 15 directors and SNEL executive director.
Over the years the St. Nicholas Board of Directors and Staff have raised significant funds, through grants and donations, to renovate and equip the childcare space in the Trinity Outreach Center, raise staff salaries, and provide needed tuition assistance to families. In 2019 SNEL received a $100,000 grant from United Way of Central Indiana to expand the program by adding two classrooms, a kitchen, and teacher lounge.
Location
St. Nicholas Early Learning, Inc. is located on the first floor of the Trinity Outreach Center at 3333 N. Meridian St. The facility was remodeled in 2016 in preparation for St. Nicholas opening and in 2019 awarded a United Way of Central Indiana grant to expand by adding two additional classrooms, kitchen, and teacher lounge. We continue to improve our facilities and outdoor spaces to provide a clean, safe, engaging environment for the children in our care to learn and play.
Initially founded by Trinity Episcopal Church volunteers, St. Nicholas Early Learning, Inc. today operates as an independent 501(c) (3) with a volunteer Board of Directors made up of parents, Trinity parishioners, and men, women active in our Midtown community.
